Title or Location: The Bronx Zoo Caught this Julia butterfly at the Bronx Zoo?s butterfly house. I loved how the bright orange just glowed against all that green, so I waited for it to settle with its wings folded, shot wide open to blur the background, and let the little butterfly be the star. Those tiny red bits in the leaves were a happy bonus.? Credit: Tobias Cafiero Instagram: @cafierotobias
Title or Location: At home I consider this a rainy day photograph. When unable to get out and shoot I look for creative ideas to keep me occupied. This was a pot plant shot through a crystal ball using the Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm lens mounted to my Fuji XT-2. The image was It inverted and had to be turned in post. I chose the square cropwhich I feel works for this image. The tight crop hides the outer edge of the crystal ball leading to some mystery for the viewer. Title or Location: SCOTLAND On a recent visit to Scotland, I stopped over at Dunrobin Castle, home of the Dukes of Sutherland. This magnificent fairy-tale castle is adorned with towers and turrets. The structure dates back to 1275, but this castle was built in the mid-19th century. The views from the magnificent gardens are nothing but spectacular. The stormy weather gracefully complemented the awesome structure. Credit: Robert L Ozibko
